Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) is a collegiate social fraternity with 111 chapters and 12 colonies throughout the United States and Canada and we are continually growing.
As a social fraternity, we strive to achieve the type of society that the ancient Greeks experienced. They excelled in all areas including art, poetry, philosophy, architecture, government, athletics, and provided us with the Parthenon, democracy, and the Olympic games. Just like the ancient Greeks, our fraternity is absorbed in the excellence of man, and committed to developing excellence in our members. Today, as members of Greek-letter societies, we must continue this quest for excellence. We must strive to achieve the balance that the ancient Greeks mastered. We must maintain our social fraternity and define “social” not just as parties and celebration, but also as the reward for learning how to productively live and work independently with others.
Phi Gamma Delta is a fraternity for life. While many of your best friendships and fraternal experiences will be forged in your undergraduate years, it is often the years following graduation which can be the most satisfying.
Mission Statement:
"Phi Gamma Delta exists to promote lifelong friendships, to reaffirm high ethical standards and values, and to foster personal development in the pursuit of excellence. Phi Gamma Delta is committed to provide opportunities to each brother to develop responsibility, leadership, scholarship and social skills in order to become a fully contributing member of society."
The rewards of membership extend far beyond one's college years through continued commitment to the values, the brothers, and the Educational Foundation. This is why we do not adopt the name "alumni." Rather, post collegiate members are known as "Graduate Brothers," implying that membership extends far beyond the undergraduate experience. The commitment exemplifies another motto by which we live, "Not For College Days Alone."
